Eid is a joyous day in our Islamic calendar, and before we prepare to celebrate Eid, it is important to remind ourselves about some of the rulings that Allah has set out concerning Eid. We have summarised a number of the most important points below.

Croydon ICT will be distributing Qurbani meat to the poor and needy in and around the Croydon area this Eid Al Adha, InshaAllah.

It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allâh, but it is piety from you that reaches Him. Thus have We made them subject to you that you may magnify Allâh for His Guidance to you. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad SAW) to the Muhsinûn (doers of good). Surat Al Hajj (22:37) – translation of the meaning of the Words of Allâh – Tafsir ibn Kathir on this Ayat follows below.

We have the pleasure of welcoming Shaykh Aasim al-Qaryutee, student of Shaykh bin Baaz at Croydon ICT tomorrow, Wednesday 17 October 2012 at 6:30pm.

The much awaited expansion of our Croydon ICT Bookshop is now completed, with the generous support of volunteers from our community, Alhamdulillah.

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce that earlier this month brother Taheem Cozier joined us as a new full time administrator, supporting our existing administrator.

Our ‘Dawah in the Community‘ programme aims to build bridges by inviting non-Muslims to Islam and demystifying misconceptions in the Croydon area every Saturday.
