Assamu Alaykum

At Croydon Islamic Community Trust (CICT), we recently had the pleasure of hosting a special Community Dinner, bringing together both youth and adults for an evening of spiritual enrichment and companionship.

The highlight of the evening was an insightful two-hour talk by Imam Ibrahim and AbdulWahid Stephenson, where they addressed the challenges faced by new Muslims when embracing Islam. Their discussion shed light on the emotional, social, and personal struggles that many reverts encounter, from adjusting to a new way of life to navigating relationships with family and society. The talk provided much-needed guidance and support, emphasizing the importance of community in helping new Muslims feel welcomed and supported.

After the inspiring discussion, attendees enjoyed a delicious meal, strengthening the bonds between brothers and fostering a sense of unity. The warmth of shared food and conversations created an uplifting atmosphere, reminding us of the beauty of Islamic brotherhood and togetherness.
