Dear Croydon ICT Community,
As-Salaam-Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,
We hope this message finds you in the best of health and eeman. May Allah bless our community and grant us the tawfiq to continue His worship.
On Thursday, May 2nd, the Croydon ICT Shura convened to discuss the potential appointment of three new trustees. During this meeting, it was unanimously agreed that the proposed individuals would bring significant benefit to the masjid and the community. Following this, individual meetings were held with the chairman and current trustees, where the roles and expectations were thoroughly discussed with the candidate trustees. We are pleased to announce that, Alhamdulillah, three new trustees have been appointed to our board.
All three members are residents of Croydon and bring immense value to the masjid.
Brother Jibreel Jones
Having successfully established two UK charities from scratch, Jibreel brings extensive knowledge and a profound understanding of the fundamental principles required for the growth of our masjid.
Brother Zeer Samal
Zeer is a distinguished businessman from the heart of Croydon. With a vast network of support, he excels in connecting with key individuals and resources necessary for our community’s development.
Dr. Mohammad Yekini
Dr. Yekini is a specialist in organizational structure and development. He brings a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, vision setting, and achieving organizational goals.
We are extremely excited about these new appointments and look forward to advancing our mission with this strengthened foundation.
Simultaneously, we express our heartfelt gratitude and sadness at the departure of our previous chairman, Mr. Tariq Rasool, and Ustadh Naveed Abu Abbas.
We ask Allah to bless them and grant them success in their future endeavors.
We will continue to keep the community informed as our plans evolve and expand. We thank Allah for granting us the ability to serve His house.
Kind regards,
Eesa McKenzie
CICT Chairman (on behalf of all trustees)
