Croydon Islamic community trust (CICT) Is a Muslim Charity organisation that has been created to spread Islamic Dawah to Muslims and non Muslims alike according to authentic Qur’an and Sunnah upon the Guidance of the Pious Predecessors (Salaf as Salih). We aim to provide the following services: 

• Daily congregational prayers
• Islamic Education (daily lectures and classes) for both men and women
• Qur’an classes for new Muslims
• Tuition classes to tackle educational under achievement in the community
• Islamic library and interactive classroom
• Citizen and anti extremism / terrorism classes, counselling and advice for the youth
• Translations of Islamic Literature from Arabic to English

 Personal Profiles

(Abdul) Jalil Shaikh

Position: Chairman Croydon ICT

Abdul Jalil Shaikh has been a senior manager of several state schools in London. He is currently serving as the Head Teacher of Olive Tree School in Luton.  Amongst other achievements Abdul Jalil has gained an MA in Educational Leadership from the Institute of Education and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from Brunel University.  He has been involved in various youth and community projects.

Khalil Campbell

Position: Secretary

Khalil Campbell is a professional social worker who is running a project to help organise foster homes for Muslim children.  He has previously been a regional manager of an English language service providing company.  He is actively involved in helping to shape the lives of young people in the London area.

Tariq Rasul

Position: Treasurer

Tariq Rasul is a manager at the Ethnic Minority Training Project in Luton.  He also teaches at Bedford Prison, where he helps to rehabilitate offenders.  He also helps ex-offenders when they leave prison.  Amongst other achievements Tariq has gained an MA in TESOL from the University of Bedfordshire.

Shuja Uddin

Position: Development Manager

Shuja Uddin is currently Head of an ICT Department in a large secondary school in Croydon.  Amongst Shuja’s work experience, he has been a Training Specialist for a leading hospital in the Middle East as well as a Logistics Manager for Symantec.  Having worked with young children for the last 16 years he is actively involved in helping local youth form a positive identity and assist them in deviating from the glorification of 'street life.' Ibrahim Walker

Ibrahim Walker 

Position: Development Manager

Ibrahim has been involved in various youth training projects before and after he came to Islam 10 years ago.  He has been working for Merton Borough Council for over 20 years, where he holds a senior management position.  Ibrahim has previously been the Masjid manager of Masjid Ibn Taymeeyah in Brixton, where he played an active role in the strategic development of the masjid.  Whilst at Masjid Ibn Taymeeyah, Ibrahim played a vital role in respect of community cohesion and youth support and organised various events for the benefit of the whole community, including non-Muslims.  Ibrahim is also very active in spreading the correct da’wah amongst the youth and holds a weekly study circle on the fundamentals of Islam.
